Your wedding day will most likely be a long one, and you want to look your very best throughout the entire event. Accidents like spills and stains are bound to happen–not to mention hair and makeup emergencies, so be prepared. Keep these top tips in mind and you are sure to look like your stunning self all day or all night long
Do a Trial Run
At least a month or so before the wedding, do a trial run to make sure you feel great about your bridal hair, jewelry, veil and other accessories. Do they all come together the way you had envisioned? If not, you may need to tweak a few things, so give yourself time. The good news is, decisions about hair and returnable accessories can be remedied to fit your dream look.
Grab your Emergency Kit
Pack a small bag and make sure you have all the things you need to keep you looking amazing throughout the entire wedding. At a minimum, pack the following items and assign a bridesmaid or trusted friend or family member can carry it for you: hair accessories, tissues, deodorant, makeup, band aids, blotting sheets, chalk or talcum powder (for stains), club soda (for stains), sewing kit, and whatever else puts your mind at ease.
Choose the Right Makeup
If you have a favorite makeup that you know will last a long period of time, go for that. If you are new to makeup, try different brands and see what goes best with your skin type, and more importantly doesn’t irritate your skin. Lots of brides have their makeup professionally done, so the makeup artist can suggest some great products. Also, be sure and have a finishing powder to keep your skin fresh looking for the duration of the wedding.
Say Cheese
Your wedding day will be one of the happiest days of your life, so enjoy yourself, take in all the details, and let that happiness shine through with your beautiful smile. Not to mention, a relaxed and happy bride makes for great wedding photos. Remember, even if things don’t go exactly as planned, at the end of it all, you’ll be married to the person of your dreams, and isn’t that what really matters?
