The Story
PRONOVIAS began life in ‘El Suizo’, a prestigious Barcelona store founded by Alberto Palatchi Bienveniste in 1922. It was a family business that would later grow. In 1964, the company pioneered the creation of the first prêt-à-porter bridal fashion, a revolution at the time, which made wedding dresses accessible to all women.
In 1977, the company started internationalising in pioneering the franchise business and opening the first store of this kind in the Netherlands before moving into North America and Asia during the nineties. Pronovias leads the world with its extensive distribution network, with more than 4,000 points of sale in more than 105 countries. Since then, Pronovias has had a network of 50 franchises which share the values and savoir-faire of its own store, giving an unforgettable bridal style and experience to every customer.
The company’s internationalisation is evident in a workforce of more than 850 employees of 40 different nationalities–a hallmark of their business model.
