The proposal

Jasmine and Greg met at Northeastern University during their freshman year of college. They were very close friends, until they realized their true feelings for each other in their junior year. Jasmine says, “Greg proposed in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, on a secluded portion of the beach. It was absolutely perfect and everything I had pictured. And it didn’t hurt that right before, he had taken me to a candy shop and let me pick whatever I wanted!”

The venue and theme

Jasmine and Greg were married during an outdoor ceremony at the picturesque Bedford Village Inn in New Hampshire.  Jasmine adds, “Our wedding decor was all to highlight the colors of fall, as we were getting married during the peak of foliage. The ceremony took place outside in the garden below string lights and one of the fountains on the property.”

Jasmine’s bridesmaids wore pretty plum-colored dresses and Greg’s groomsmen wore chic gray suits. The floral arrangements were also designed in a deep plum shade with dahlias, orange circus roses, and pops of red, yellow, and other subtle shades of purple. Jasmine adds, “Our reception site was a very rustic setting, an old two story barn with awesome exposed beams.”

The dress

Jasmine says, “My experience at VOWS was amazing. Having the chance to browse wedding dresses and try on things I had specifically selected was a fun way to start and made me feel much less stressed.

“We were fortunate to work with Leslie. She honed in on what I actually wanted, not just from what I described, but from my body language while I tried on each dress. Leslie ultimately brought in a Liv Harris trumpet silhouette with Chantilly lace, cap sleeves, and long train. It was the exact opposite of everything I imagined I wanted, and yet, when I put it on, I felt like a princess! I knew it was the one because, well, I just didn’t want to take it off.

“I can’t thank Leslie enough for the guidance and her great taste! Because of this positive experience, I came back to VOWS to purchase my beautiful embroidered veil and coordinating head piece. Thanks to everyone at VOWS, and specifically Leslie!”
