Your wedding day will most likely be a long one, and you want to look your very best throughout the entire event. Accidents like spills, stains, etc. are bound to happen. Not to mention hair and makeup emergencies, so be prepared. Keep these top four tips in mind and you are sure to look beautiful all day or all night long.
1. Always do a trial run: At least two weeks before your wedding day, do a full beauty trial run to make sure you feel great about your bridal hair, makeup, jewelry and other accessories. This is so important if you plan on having things like facials and waxing done before the ceremony. You need to know how your skin will react. You may need to make extra time between the treatment and you’re the big day.
2. Have a beauty emergency kit ready to go: Grab a bag and make sure you have all the things you need to keep you looking amazing throughout the entire wedding. At a minimum, pack the following things in a bag that a bridesmaid or trusted friend or family member can carry for you: hair pins, tissues, deodorant, all your makeup, band aids, clear nail polish, blotting sheets, chalk or talcum powder (for stains), club soda (for stains), sewing kit, hairspray, and whatever else puts you at ease.
3. Make sure your makeup is right for you: If you have a favorite makeup that you know will last a long period of time, go for that. If you are new to makeup, try on different brands and see what goes best with your skin tone, and more importantly doesn’t irritate your skin. Lots of brides have their makeup professionally done, so the makeup artist can suggest some great products. Also, be sure and have a finishing powder to keep your skin fresh looking for the duration of the wedding.
4. Show those pearly whites: This is very simple… smile! Your wedding day will be one of the happiest days of your life, so enjoy yourself and let happiness shine through that smile. Not to mention that a great smile makes for great wedding photos. And remember, even if things don’t go exactly as planned, the end of it all you’ll be married to the man or woman of your dreams, and isn’t that what really matters?
